Tribute to Veterans at the Harwood Museum of Art

August 18 - October 1
As part of our upcoming exhibition Pursuit of Happiness: GI Bill in Taos, we are creating a small tribute space to honor veterans—especially those connected to our local community. The exhibition explores how post-WWII GI Bill benefits changed the arts in Taos and the country. This installation will feature photographs, medals, letters, and other personal items contributed by the public and can be connected to any veterans, not just WWII vets.

Whether it’s a family photo, a medal, or another meaningful item, your participation will help shape a deeply personal and powerful component of this exhibition. Copies are welcome, and all original materials will be returned at the end of the show.

Each contribution will be treated with the same care and respect as artwork in our collection.

If you’re interested in participating, you may:
Email Kate Miller (katemiller@unm.edu), or
Drop items off at the museum’s front desk during open hours (Wednesday through Sunday, 11am – 5pm)

Please see the attached flyer for more details. We’d be honored to include your story in this community effort.
