The New Mexico Department of Veteran Sersvices is committed to working with and responding to all joint Veterans’ related issues and concerns for the State Pueblos,Ntaions, and Tribes
benefit and purpose
Seek out Tribal Communiies and to spport New Mexico Native American Veterans by creating a foundation and relationship wiot each Peublo, Nation, and Tribe Veteran Representatives.

- Conduct montly (virtual) / quarterly (in person) NM Native American Veteran Collaboration meetings
- Updating the current NMDVS and Navajo Nation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
- Continue to use all available state and federal funding to train Native American Veteran Service Officers to be NACVSO (National Accredited Veteran Service Officers) certified
- Provide updated calendar events to the (PIO)Public Information Officer to support majkor tribal events.
- Serve as Point of Contact with ongoing communication between State and affected Indian Pueblos, Nations, and Tribes
- Provided support on events for Pueblos,Nations, and Tribal veterans
